Connecting women to agriculture digital services: Pathways to scale
ICT for agriculture is growing at an exponential rate in LMICs. The use of smartphones and Digital Agricultural Services (DAS) hold great promise to enhance the productivity and income of smallholder farmers. However, evidence suggests that women have limited access to smartphones, the internet and digital technologies, leading to a 'gender digital divide' that could potentially increase gender inequalities instead of reducing them.
This session at ICTforAg 2022 co-created by Grameen Foundation, facilitated a deep dialogue on how we can catalyze the adoption of Digital Agricultural Services by women, and work to empower not only women but their communities as well.
