Join the ICTforAg Movement as a Youth Ambassador!

The future of ICTforAg depends not only on innovative technologies and disruptive solutions but also on young people to drive change and impact in their local contexts and communities. That is why ICTforAg 2022 is looking to engage and support the future thought leaders and change-makers in the digital agriculture ecosystem through the Youth Ambassadors Program.

If you are:

A young professional under the age
of 29 years

Working in the digital agriculture ecosystem for at least one year

Interested in developing your communication, networking, and thought leadership skills

Then this program is for you!

Learn best practices in developing and facilitating engagement for a diverse global audience

Receive hands-on training in curating and creating multiple forms of content for different platforms

Shape the conversation at ICTforAg by contributing to session design and research

Showcase your knowledge, skills, and views on digital agriculture to a global audience

Receive individualized mentorship and guidance related to the digital agriculture sector

Expand and grow your professional network globally through curated expert engagement

Based on the existing skills, knowledge base, and interests of each individual, Youth Ambassadors will have the opportunity to substantially contribute towards the ICTforAg 2022 Conference from January 15th to March 30th, 2022 by: engaging various stakeholders, sharing their knowledge and vision of the sector, creating & curating exclusive content, and facilitating conversations on the conference platform. Youth Ambassadors will be involved in the three engagement tracks:

Content Sourcing and Dissemination

Help source relevant stories pertaining to ICTforAg or interesting videos pertaining to ICTforAg that can be included as part of the social sessions during the conference schedule. This track could also include sharing existing conference content across social media handles, and sourcing relevant updates from the space to incorporate into the weekly digital engagement across social media platforms. 

Community Engagement

Work with the ICTforAg team prior to and during the conference to facilitate meet ups and social sessions respectively to ensure that their communities are able to contribute to the discussion and sharing. This could also include live tweeting content in the form of questions/insights discussed during the conference. 

Content Creation

Help increase the relevance of conference content to youth and their communities by contributing to session design, writing short blogs on conference content, curating thought pieces on the issues most important to youth, drafting session notes from the conference and contributing to case studies.
